Quote of the Day - Looking back on the Madeleine Case

Kate McCann: "(...) knew her daughter had been snatched because her body's imprint was left on her bed sheets(...)The little girl's Cuddle Cat, which she always took to bed, was found on a ledge at adult height."
in Daily mail 14 October 2007

Gerry McCann: "When I entered I realised that Maddie's bed was almost intact. The corner of the outside of the sheets was turned a little. But the pillow, her Cuddle Cat and the blanket she had slept with were almost in the same place as I had seen them the last time."

  1. Didn't Kate say on Oprah that when she entered the room the cuddle cat was on Madeleine's bed... I'm absolutely sure she did..

Would it be possible for someone to verify this?

Would certainly add to the list of inconsistencies..

  2. Maria,

I don't know about on the Winfrey show, but at the beginning of the mockumentary K McCann says 'Cuddle Cat was still there, her blanket was still there . . .'

So yep - yet another inconsistency captured on film for all to see.

Thank you Kate. dum dee dum dee dum.

  3. It's know by now that there was no high shelf anywhere in that room, at least not in the police photos...unless the police took it for forensics...
And how was it possible for kate to see the imprint of Madeleine's body on the sheets if the bed was made up, the covers pulled up, like Gerry says? Was Madeleine sleeping over the covers?

  5. The official photos of the apartment were made by the PJ and show everything exacly the way the police found it.
Those are the photos we saw on the documentaries.
There has never been a high shelf in that room.
It is obvious why Kate did not reply any of the 48 questions.
She does not remember the instructions she gets from Gerry, lawyers, etc.
She could better keep her mouth and Gerry was relieved she at least remembered to keep it.
If she would have forgotten to shut up, at the end of the night Bush, the Pope and Elizabeth Taylor would have been made arguidos.

  6. According to the PJ (Amaral) Madeleine did not go to bed that evening.
The bed had no signs of the girl.
