3 Arguidos Forum News

The current situation with 3 Arguidos Forum is as follows:

Co-administrator, jjp, has resigned from the forum because he was unable to agree with the direction it was taking and for personal health reasons.

Currently, Photon, the other co-administrator is on holiday.

Currently, Beowulf is, for personal reasons, able to manage only the technical side of the forum and not the day-to-day issues.

One global moderator has resigned from the forum completely due to the issues and a number of others have asked for their accounts to be de-activated till the problems are resolved. These others will re-consider their positions when the issues are resolved.

No other, available moderator felt able to take on the considerable burden of administration of the forum.

Though no representation has been made with regard to the Bennett/Butler campaign and its potential legal implications for the 3 Arguidos Forum, a number of posters and others (some with verified legal qualifications) have expressed strong feelings that there may be a threat to the forum.

Without any current Administration and with a limited moderation team (due to holidays and other personal issues) it was felt that the safety of the forum should be the priority.

The forum remains secure - no data has been removed - it is simply not accessible at the moment due to being disabled.

  2. 8 hours of no access and my hands have begun shaking, slight sweat breaking out on forehead, nausea.
My God, how addicted have I become to this forum.
    May it recover itself quickly.

  5. Personal note from jjp

This message and the deactivation of the moderators who have requested me to do so (all the moderators who I have spoken to yesterday evening and today have asked me do this) are my final actions on the 3As forum.

I was violently sick immediately after disabling the forum as I understand what an important venue it is. I understand how much time and effort all the members and moderating/admin staff have put into it. And I did NOT want to see that lost.

It was for this reason and this reason alone that I have disabled it until a full strength moderation team can be in place to handle it properly.

The alternative was to leave it in the hands of moderators who would not have been able to fully protect the forum.

My own reason for being on the forum was simple. I felt it was the one place where there was the possibility of genuine debate about the actions of the McCanns and the disappearance of their child, Madeleine. To this day, I truly do not know what happened to that child and my hope was, and remains, that an end will be some day found to the saga and she will be found (highly unlikely I admit) or her body will be laid to rest and justice will be meted out to those responsible for what happened to her.

I have tried at all times as a poster and as a moderator (and latterly as co-admin) to remain scrupulously fair and open in my dealings with all members. I have sought to maintain the forum (along with colleagues on the moderation team) as a safe venue for all posters and genuinely hope that it will return very soon as a place for open debate.

I have enjoyed the debate on serious issues and the less fractious posting in other sections such as the lounge. I will miss that.

I have great respect for the admin/moderators and the vast majority of posters I have 'met' on this site and wish you all the best in the future.

Finally, unlike a number of other previous moderators, I shall not be going to other sites discussing the ins-and-outs of the 3As 'behind the scenes' events. Many have done so and while I don't agree with anyone doing that I have to single out Bonnybraes1 and MsMarbles for their disgusting vindictive and vengeful actions on leaving the 3As. I hold that pair in utter contempt for the way in which they attempted (more often with lies than the truth) to trash what they were part of and to ignore their own personal role in the forum prior to their selling out in the most disgusting tabloid manner to the enemies of the 3As forum.

I shall, of course, remain interested in the case of Madeleine McCann and hope that I will be welcome on blogs and other forums where there is genuine discussion of the case. If, not c'est la vie. I shall merely read.

  7. i think tony bennett and debbie butler did the right thing, after all rothley was not the only place the leaflets have been posted.why in gods name should people not be allowed to know the truth about the mccanns, and i thought that was what the 3a,s was about TRUTH AND JUSTICE FOR MADELEINE

    ReplyDelete
  8. Thanks for the clarification. I was starting to fear I had something to do with it, because I joined the 3A just yesterday! XD

It sure is worrying that the fear of law suits is paralising so much of the British society.
    People shouldn't tolerate that...

This makes Astro, Joana & Kazlux's blog even more valuable, along with the other blogs and the Madeleine Foundation.

Thanks for your efforts, keep going, and let's stick together! They can't sue all of us! :D

  9. Thanks for posting news regarding the 3A's site Joana.

JJP you have my utmost respect as do the other Mods and Admin etc on 3 A's. I will be sorry that I cannot read your posts if 3 A's does remain ongoing and hope to read you elsewhere. Many thanks for the time you have given to 3 A's.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Thank you JJP, I truly hope the forum can be opened up again, we've gone through many things together in the last 2 years and the 3A's is a great forum to debate and discuss ideas.

    kind regards,
    Jo

  11. i am so angry by closing the 3a,s the maccanns and the pro,s have won again, the mccanns will not sue any bloggers ,look how ridiculous they would look, and to make tony bennett and debbie butler the scapegoats is appalling.

  13. If the forum does not re-open it will be a huge victory for them and another terrible blow for justice. No other venue will do but 3A.

jjp, thank you for the time you have given as admin and for the many excellent posts.

The 3A forum even if not bound to the MF, which I don't believe it should be, would also be a loss to the Foundation. I hope they realise that and take appropriate steps.

Should the forum not re-open I wish to send my best wishes for the future, to all my fellow posters.

  17. Hello,

    I'm not against the leaflets!

I am however against the direct merge or close affiliation of the 3A and the MF.

I would have thought the reasons obvious, but clearly not.

I wont post my reasons on a public forum, hope that is a clue.

  22. I think at the minute the important thing is the safety of the forum and particularly all the information that's been so painstakingly collected over the past 2 years. I'm sorry there are problems, but that's the way of the world and 3A has often had very rocky times in the past. It's to be hoped the problems can be sorted out and the forum reopened, but only when safety of information is assured.

I'm glad there are other places for us to meet, such as here, so we can exchange information. (I was at Anna's site when someone said to go to Jo's blog for info about 3A.) We all still exist and we still want justice for Madeleine - they can't wipe us out, much as I'm sure they'd like to!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Thanks for this fantastic blog and for the update on what's happened to 3As.

A sad day in a sad ans sorry saga. I hope 3As returns but, if it doesn't, the struggle to get the truth out about what happened to Madeleine will continue, I'm certain.

Obrigada dear Joana & Astro, I don't know where we'd be without you! xx

    ReplyDelete
  24. I was just reading Textusa and he is, like me, of the opinion that "the McCanns are unable to sue anybody. Either the hearing would be behind closed doors, which would only delay the leaking of the facts (where they would finally be debated), or it simply cannot take place. Unless forced. Let’s hope."

They, so far, have been using the power of suggestion - threats are usually enough to quiet some down; or, they announce it semi-publicly, but then, don't follow up - at least, in regards to Portugal - Tal&Qual, G.Amaral...

Anyway, I believe that the best course of action, to get to the truth about Madeleine is actually to focus on the free speech and campaign against the bias and the blackout of the media. If the media are exposed for being one-sided, it will be more easy to get to the the McCanns.

That's why the leaflets were so threatning to the McCann - they bypassed the media monopoly of "information" and reached directly the public who otherwise would not have access to the other side of the story.
    Any one agrees?

    Anon,

Yes I agree with your words above. Whilst I respect the 3 A's for the moment being disabled and do hope it returns. I also respect Debbie, Tony, Grenville, Helene and all at the MF. I believe they pulled the rug from beneath the McPinks feet! I am happy to respect 3 A's and the MF as the separate entities they are. Separate entities imo who have a common factor and separate entities who paths cross in the fight for Justice for a child imo with no voice.

  30. Hi from santacoloma. Just took a moment to gain entry (I usually meet a grim fate with Google accounts).
As Gerry would say "I'm not going to comment" about the leaflet drop in Rothley. I've said before where I stand.
I honestly believe that after all the great work that the 3As has achieved, we are close to finding out some important truths. We can't stop here, and the forum has to continue free from the periodic crises, usually caused by personal emotions getting in the way of dispassionate administration.
I'm very pleased to see Astro and KazLux here. You have my email address, and I'd like to be kept in touch with events - especially a place where we can continue to discuss and discover. And I'd like to pick up with alison where we left off yesterday.
    Best wishes!

To jjp I hope you are feeling better and I would like to thank you for all you have done for 3As. I enjoyed your posts and hope to read you again elsewhere.
I truly believe that all those who are fighting for justice for Maddie will never give up.
Clarence Mitchell is loosing his stranglehold slowly but surely as we saw by the DM article last week. Something has changed I am sure of it.
I support 3As and the Madeleine Foundation but agree they must be kept separate each fighting for justice in his own way.
We are all fighting for the same cause - For Maddie!

  32. 3As has been under a lot of pressure. We know Bren was harrassed. We know people's personal details have been leaked. In other words, intimidation has been used to enforce silence. 3A, because it was big, was always vulnerable to infiltration.

Tony and Debbie have indeed done the right thing. We cannot let Team McCann have a choke-hold on the media in the UK.

This is a great site as well. Long may it prosper. 3As if it disappears will be sorely missed but the truth is an inextinguishable flame that burns brightly however many attempts are made to cover it up. And people like Tony, Debbie, Joana, Astro and Kazlux are the keepers of the flame.

    We salute you!

    ReplyDelete
  33. My thanks to all the people who have continued with their detailed research and devotion through the past couple of years. (We have had some laughs too...) But it is extremely important that the resource of the 3As is kept alive. It is not just Madeleine who needs to be saved - we need free access to information. The press cannot be muzzled forever.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Thank you Astro, Joana and Kazlux for your hospitality.

I hope Beowulf manages to get 3A's up and running again soon, I would miss it very much as I have met some fantastic people there, and I loved the way it was always humming along day or night.

jjp you have been such an asset to 3A's and I thank you for your massive contributions, and I too loved reading your posts. All the very best to you. I do hope you feel better soon.

I feel the momentum has picked up of late regarding the infamous doctors' and I'll be pacing the floors if something happens and I cannot hook up with my wonderful friends at 3A's. I am praying this is just a temporary pause.

Just to add I totally support Tony and Debbie and the MF in their courageous path.

Good luck everyone, and thank you for your excellent company.

  39. Thanks to Zodiac, for replying and to Debbie, for her statement separating the waters.

I think it's imperative that everyone who seeks the truth and justice for Madeleine sticks together; although we may have different views, our goal is the same, and so is our "opposition".

  43. Hello everyone. I feel very 'lost' without my daily 3As 'fix'!! What will I do without jdomino's predictions?! So much else besides. Also, I haven't finished reading Amaral's book which was being so excellently translated by one of the 3As members. I was in the middle of copying and pasting Voice of Reason's 33 reasons explaining just why it is irrefutable that man landed on the moon - when the forum went whoosh...oh dear, now I cannot convince my daughter that it really happened!! There was so much on 3As, over and above all the excellent research on the McCann case, and I personally will miss it all very much if it doesn't return. If this message posts successfully I must then log on to

BUT and a BIG but, current members are using its demise/trouble to draw people to an alternative three a site,so one has to ask ,lickarses are still around to pick up the pieces and use currant members, how long was this plan in the making?
    rember THE question....
    WHO GAINS ????
is the social expermint over yet?
    or just another phase?
has enough damage being done to support the powers that be in limiting our freedoms on the internet??
    remember...WHO GAINS????

  45. So www.threearguidos.com is already up and running - since June, no less. Regular readers won't be surprised to discover that this is the handiwork of Stevo, yet again. How convenient, given the recent slap in the face when he and TB tried to nip in and take the 3A's over - only to be rebuffed by Beowulf. No surprise then that this 'new' 3A's forum is being championed by the MF.

i have to say here,i have and still so have doubts about the mccanns and their story.i have never wavered from that.doubts about 3a or MF do not equate with team mccann.in fact one would ask,who done more to close or disrupt the 3as
    team mccann?
    or team MF?
    who is doing whos job??
the leaflet drop took more away[in the media]from the fact that team mccann had NOT DONE the work in Barcelona.

  51. We have unfinished business in the quest for justice for Madeleine. There are some matters which attain a momentum, like the 14 text messages thread, which should not simply be put into cold storage. As far as I can see, on the 3as we are waiting for Beowulf to arise, like the Sleeping Beauty (or will it take three days?), and on Stevo's forum you get knocked back unless you correctly supply a name and password for a forum in which you have never participated. I think I shall have to go and have a seesion with Foo Kinell at Mimi's tarot table before I can achieve that. (Wobbly voice)...are you there, Foo???????

    ReplyDelete
  52. why all this knocking of steves site, seems to me its the place to be for some serious debate,i was looking at other sites yesterday and there they were slagging tony and debbie off(and that was not a pro site) and that site proclaims it wants justice for madeleine,i think not

    ReplyDelete
  53. Just a big warning to anyone who registers any info on a site controlled by the person called Stevo - be very very carefull with any private information - use a completely throwaway email and protect your identity as I know from bitter experience he has no scruples when it comes to using this information to harrass

    ReplyDelete

  56. So now we are not to trust Stevo or Tony Bennett? Who else will be next? It seems that there are some desperate people who are attacking all and sundry and trying to spread suspicion everywhere. I will take my chances with Stevo's forum. I miss the 3As as I looked at it everyday since the DMF closed and I had finally registered last week. Quelle poisse!

    ReplyDelete
  57. Thanks Joana, Astro and Kazlux for the voice, hopefully you will not be going anywere! Back to the old days of searching for the recent info on the case here there and everywhere. It is a real shame that the press campaign against the leaflet drop is actually working in regards the 3A's. Threats are easily made but not so easy to follow up, we have heard them for years now. The loss of 3A's will be a cause for celebration to the team, but it does not detract from their actions and the fact that there is no one really looking for the truth for Madeleine McCann. Apparently they wish to put all their resources into the case against Amaral? Well let's see shall we? I suspect this case will be dropped also as it is not expected to begin till next year using the fund has run out of money as a reason. But time will tell.

    Take care everyone from 3A's.

  73. I don't know much about the saying to do with cockroaches and birds. But I would consider myself a bird. Cockroaches feed on what's left and what is on the bottom of your shoe.

Being mindful of this and one or two things I have read. It would seem there is a whole universe out there dedicated to the destruction and discussion of 3A - it seems to be a subject it its own right.

The saying goes: DON'T FEED THE TROLLS!!

Therefore, whether permanently or in the short term, it would serve a good purpose to CLOSE THE FORUM.

Those that are dedicated to finding an answer to what happened to Madeleine, can and will continue to research.

Then, IF or WHEN it returns there will be a collective effort again to return to productive debate.

Not only will this give the ADMINS, moderators and posters an opportunity to 'take stock' it will stop the parasitic essence that some feed on, from it.

The jigsaw puzzle, it's solution is somewhere in the information we have hopefully, since we haven't got all of it.

But Madeleine is FINDBABLE, or what happened to her that evening in PDL.

  75. To make things clearer - it seems that 3a were frightened - for no good reason - and closed as they were scared of what MF were doing . Now a nasty note is left on 3a seemingly directed at them ! I have been told that MF will never again return to 3a , and hopefully the terrified people that clsoed the 3a will not refer to MF again on 3a

  76. As I've said before, I think those who run 3A were right to close, if there was any danger to the security of the information on the site. Also common sense would dictate that a forum can't run properly without a full team of admin and mods. There's nothing 'terrified' about wanting to protect a site and its information, just plain good sense.

As for the MF, it's up to them and to the admin of 3A what sort of relationship they'll have in the future. Since we all want justice for Madeleine I hope it's a cordial one, because time spent wrangling over this and that is time away from our ultimate aim, ie truth and justice for Madeleine.

  77. It strikes me that it is a great pity when two organisations, both on the side of justice for Madeleine, turn against one another. It dissipates energies which could be used to more fruitful purposes - the combined wish to find the truth of what happened to a little girl.

United we stand and divided we fall springs to mind...

Keep up the good work ;-)

Who is MF by the 3A?

  79. As far as I can see - in fact it is there for all to see - 3a has turned on MF

    ReplyDelete
  80. i also think 3a,s has turn on mf,and to be quite honest i do think the leaflet dropping had a lot to do with it,and for the life of me i can not see why,as i have said before the leaflet drop to people who do not have a pc is the only way they would see that the mccanns are not what they seem.

  81. Enough of those leaflets!! Pity that all those threads weren't simply locked, and mention of them banned. Then we could have got on with our research and ideas. Time to let us all back in to the playground!

    ReplyDelete
  82. What will we do though with the research ? what ideas will we have and what will be done ?

    ReplyDelete
  83. against or for the leaflet drop you have to admit it has made a lot more people aware of the mccanns
where as the 3a,s only make things aware to people who read it.

  84. I agree with Santa, we need to be able to get on with the research and exchange of ideas.

There is no good reason for antipathy between forums or between posters, it's just a matter of remembering that everyone is entitled to a point of view and an approach to finding out what happened.

No-one knows what happened to Madeleine, so it is reasonable that some should concentrate on research and discussion of ideas, while others concentrate on trying to get the case reopened and bring the perpetrator/s (once known) to justice. If individuals and forums, all seeking justice for a small girl who disappeared, continually row with each other it will simply act in the interests of those who played a part in her disappearance and/or do not wish the truth to emerge.

The way I see it the admins and mods were right to close if they really felt they were overstretched and felt they could not preserve the security of the site. Perhaps they over-reacted, who knows, but we all make mistakes sometimes. The main thing must be to get up and running again as soon as possible.

  85. The sad fact is, the 3 Arguidos forum talks and talks and talks, going around in circles whereas the MF actually ACTS.
The people that run the forum do not have one tenth of the guts of Tony Bennett and Debbie Butler and have basically pulled the shutters down so as not to annoy the McCanns and Carter Ruck.
The MF needs to have a forum in my opinion.
    The 3 A's is finished.

  86. from Southernbelle,\

First of all, thanks Joana, Astro and Kazlux for allowing (hopefully temporarily) the lost and bewildered citizens of the 3as to talk here.

I don't know much about the law in the UK but I really don't understand why the 3as might be at risk of a libel suit against them. It's a sad day if that happens.

I'm on political blogs here in the US and there are terrible things said every day against politicians but, as far as I know, they've never been threatened with libel. It's called freedom of speech.

Hi Potsy, missing you already (as a fellow nutso).

How are your withdrawal symptoms? My skin is itching as I type..he he..

Aside from this case, I am flabbergasted, as a rebellious, cantakerous member of a free society...

The idea is the thing...if one side uses all its' power to put forth their ideas, how can a government prevent the other side from expressing theirs?

How can opposing ideas be suppressed when the other side has had their BS publicized everywhere?

Still waiting for one ONE investigative journalist from the UK to break ranks....ho hum..am getting tired...

  89. Excuse a grumpy old(ish) geezer for his ignorance, but in the absence of a forum (and sorry, I don't count threearguidos.com because it's impossible to get on there), isn't Messenger a suitable place for people to discuss things? As I understand it, you don't have to tweet at the whole world, you can just form your own group of like-minded friends. No?

    ReplyDelete
  90. Hi Santa - Messenger sounds like a good idea. I haven't used it for a while but I imagine it could work quite well, but not sure whether it operates as a forum or just one to one? Just hoping that 3As comes back up soon, I don't agree that it's finished, just needs robust management. I cn't get on threearguidos.com either, tried twice and couldn't be bothered to try again.

  91. Santa, I hope you've got your research backed up because I'm losing hope of the forum returning.

Thanks again, Joana and team. The news (via macannfiles) that Gonçalo Amaral might self-publish his book in the UK gives me a little hope.

Hello again to all 3As friends

    The 3 A's is finished.'

If you think the MF needs to have a forum why don't you suggest this to Tony and Debbie? There's absolutely nothing to stop there being a MF forum and I'm sure it would be well supported.

But your statement about 3A being finished is ridiculous, IMO, and I think when it reopens you'll see it as busy as ever. There's more than enough room for many forums about Madeleine and they can co-exist - many already do. At present many of us from 3A are continuing to discuss the case on the Missing Madeleine forum, where we've been made very welcome.

I simply don't get all this animosity and the wish to stir up trouble between the various forums. I don't agree with everything everyone says on 3A, but I'm more than capable of realising everyone has their own point of view and their own ideas on how to go forward in the search for justice for Madeleine.

  93. Backed up, wicksy? I thought we'd agreed that you'd do that for me, no??? Damn, I'll have to start reading those phone annexes all over again.

    (Just joking.....I think).

  94. I don't quite understand the exact reasons the 3a's shut down. However, I did think there were 'agents provocateurs' at work attemtping to disrupt over the last few days. This is only my personal opinion

    ReplyDelete
  95. i dont think the 3a,s is finished, but i do think the mf should have thier own forum but with out the pro,s,they bring nothing to a forum only disruption, like on the forum dimsie has mentioned.

  96. I love the 3A's and the discussion and research.
And yet I am in awe of the Madeleine Foundation.
As Enigma says they walked their talk.
And now there is all this slamming them for it.
I take my hat off to you Tony and Debbie, I really do.

  97. Agreed, humanist. I've been involved in one or two high-profile campaigns, and it's sad to see how, when push comes to shove, many so-called supporters get the wobbles as soon as something is ACTIVELY done.
The three good people named on the heading of this blog have now set up a fast and efficient forum called themaddiecasefiles.com
I recommend to all here that you take a look. Is Mont my old friend Montaillou? Is alison around?

  99. I read in a UK newspaper that, after her race on Sunday she spoke to a local radio station. In referring to Portugal she said, "there is a bit of support for us there now". A "BIT"?? The good Portugese people searched day and night for Madeleine for days while the McCanns stayed indoors because it was dark followed by jogging, and deciding on whether Kate should pose in a swimsuit, etc.
