A Declaration of Innocence?

Closing paragraphs of the PJ's final report:

"Addressing now, and specifically, the question relative to the diligence known as the "reconstitution of the facts" (Article 150º of the Penal Process Code), which was not performed due to the refusal of some of the integral members of the holiday group to return to our country (as documented in the Inquiry), the same would have clarified, duly and in the location of the disappearance, the following extremely important details, amongst others:

. The physical, real and effective, proximity between JANE TANNER, GERALD McCANN and JEREMY WILKINS, at the moment when the former passed them, and which coincided with the sighting of the supposed suspect, carrying a child. It results, from our understanding, as unusual that neither GERALD McCANN nor JEREMY WILKINS saw her, or the alleged abductor, despite the small dimensions of the space;

. The situation that concerns the window of the bedroom where MADELEINE slept, together with the twins, which was open, according to KATE. It would be necessary to clarify whether there was a draft, due to the fact that movement of the curtains and pressure under the bedroom door are mentioned, which would eventually be clarified through the reconstitution.

. The establishing of a timeline and of the effective checking of the minors that were left alone inside the apartments, given the fact that, believing that said checking was as tight as the witnesses and the arguidos describe it, it would be, to say the least, very difficult that the conditions were reunited for the introduction of an abductor in the residence and the posterior exit of said individual, with the child, namely through a window with little space. It is added that the supposed abductor could only pass that window holding the minor in a different position (vertical) from the one that was visualized by witness JANE TANNER (horizontal).

. What happened during the time lapse between 5.30 p.m. (the time at which MADELEINE was seen for the last time by a person that differs from her parents or siblings) and the time at which the disappearance is reported by KATE HEALY (at around 10 p.m.).

Concerning the result of the diligences that were requested from the British authorities, as earlier mentioned, despite the fact that they were almost completely carried out, nothing new was added to the process and, consequentially, to the investigation.

The questioning of the holiday group merely corroborated what had already been established during the investigation, without any detail that could have been reputed as especially relevant being brought forward.

In conclusion, it results from everything that has been done, despite the efforts that were made and all investigation lines being explored, that it is not possible to obtain a solid and objective conclusion about what really happened that night, and about the present location of the missing minor.

On the other hand, it should be referred that this investigation moved itself under conditions of exceptional media exposure, with the publication of many "news" of imprecise, inexact or even false contents, which did not help, in the least, the discovery of the truth and created, many times, a climate of unusual commotion and of lack of serenity.

Therefore, as we do not envision, at the present moment, the execution of any other diligence within the process that might produce any useful result for the process, I submit it to your consideration, for you to determine whatever you may see as convenient."

  2. There in black and white for all to read... and what the non-believers have been banging on about for the last two years. This needs to be sent to every tabloid - it highlights the reasons why Madeleine has never been found.

Why did Mitchell and the McCann's gloss over this? Why did they try and distract the public's attention with supposed sightings around the world?

    There is only one reason...

  3. The McCanns and friends' lack of cooperation with the investigation failed to add important information so that conclusions could be made by the PJ. Why was in their interest not to cooperate with the police? Similarly with the failure to answer 40 questions by KM. These are not the actions of innocent people. The report makes no statement of innocence, only that of a frustrated investigation.

  4. What a pity the Madeleine Foundation did not use this for their leaflet instead of the contentious 20 reasons. Even Carter Ruck would have had no grounds for objecting to it, and it would have been an eye-opener for so many.

  6. This is so crystal clear that "they" had to do a lot to distract the public attention.
I wonder why a reconstitution was not made with people following very exactly the Tapas 9 statements, which would suppose, given the contradictions, to organize various scenarios. It shouldn't be very difficult to take advantage of the same outside light to recreate the same darkness inside of the flat and observe, with the same wind conditions, how doors would react if the shutters and window were open or shut.

  7. I think the McCanns would turn pale if this summary of the case, made by the PJ, was made public by the English media around the world. What would they do then, launch libel proceedings against the Portuguese police? Or would they simply say it's all lies knowing that the PJ has not commented on the case ever since it was archived.

  8. Have Carter-Ruck been at it again? Both Martin Brunt's blog "Life of Crime" and "Discussions" re Madeleine McCann on the Sky News website are "down".

  9. Tudo que acho saber é que o pastor anglicano chegou uns dias depois da desaparição da Madeleine.

  10. Even to the casual observer not familiar with the details of the case it is obvious why a police reconstruction was rejected by the McCanns and their accomplices. A reconstruction that would not have been possible without showing very clearly that all of them have were lying; every one of them involved in a conspiracy aimed solely at concealing the truth about what happened.

The refusal to cooperate with the police investigation was therefore clearly a declaration of guilt and the only question that remains is, "What are they guilty of?"

This question will not go away. No amount of coercion by expensive teams of lawyers will stop people asking the question in one form or another until the truth is revealed .

Obviously, on past form, it will not be the McCanns or their accomplices who will reveal that truth and given the lengths to which they have gone and the amount of money that has been spent, who can blame people for thinking that the truth they are concealing must be something quite horrendous.

The time for giving them the benefit of the doubt has surely long gone.

  11. Joana, during about 24 hours I did not manage to open this site.
    There was something wrong here.
I'm glad it is ok now.

  13. And who read tabloids these days?

  14. The McCanns WILL leave no stone unturned, go to the ends of the earth to find their missing child. What they Appear NOT to do is a reconstruction, answer 48 questions, ask for the case to be re-opened. ???????????

  15. It is very sad, a little girl goes missing and those who could throw light on what happened to her, refuse to co-operate with the police. So far from wanting to find Madeleine, they want to leave her in permanent limbo, if dead, not even deserving a final resting place. So concerned are this group to just protect themselves from the due process of the law.

Having frustrated the PJ's efforts to find the truth, the McCanns waste no efforts in their continuing demands to be considered innocent. It is not their right.

  16. Maccanns to give new interviews in the UK and Portugal this coming week to make fresh appeal's for their daughter's return, and plan to return to Luz soon, so get ready they are coming back to haunt you all again. I am beginning to think this pair have supernatural power. I for one will not be watching my blood pressure could not stand up to it. I am sorry to say I hate this pair.

  17. I cant get my head around all the bullshit from team Mccann. In my view the report they says they did do it but because they refused to cooperate it could not be proved beyond reasonable doubt.
