Direito à Indignação

Censura Nunca Mais

Cara Joana Morais,

Antonieta Janeiro

Right to Indignation

Dear Joana Morais,

I write in Portuguese because, by your name, I assume that you are Portuguese or Brazilian.

I have followed the comments and news that you provide and I congratulate you on proper disclosure that you have given to the «Maddie case» which, unfortunately, by now has turned into «Gonçalo Amaral's case».

I have bought the book (as soon as it came out) and I have read it with the pragmatism of the Portuguese Literature Professor that I am: as cold and dispassionate as when one evaluates an exam.

The book is a scientific work, is an investigative thesis. Nothing else!

Only a perverse mind may want to interpret otherwise, and just pure speculation and morbid revenge can justify this petty persecution.

I've also signed the Petition.

Even going to the Palace of Justice on the 11th, in the morning, I fear that we will not be able to attend the trial, although it is a Public Act.

I therefore ask to use your Blog and your name to make public all my anger, contempt, nausea, by those beings who call themselves human and parents and use (and abuse) in that way a helpless child to whom they call daughter, they vilify the good name of a country, they violate the Universal Principles and Rights and they still have the audacity to blame others.

I am very Grateful,

Antonieta Janeiro

  1. Perverse mind? Check.
    Morbid revenge? Check.

    Personal Vendetta?? Check.

Is this about FINDING something (a child, the truth) or HIDING something??

Hear no evil, see no evil. As long as a word is not uttered against them, they will appear as pure as the driven snow. Oh yeah? Really? =)) History never forgets.

  2. Dear Antonieta Janeiro,

What a powerful piece. At the heart of this case as you say - 'A helpless child.'

Above all else, that is what we must not forget. Madeleine McCann, like all missing children deserves justice, she had rights which were ignored by her parents, the right to be protected, to be kept safe. They failed her.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this case.

tua culpa, tua culpa, tua máxima culpa.

  4. Joana, please, I hope you take your portable computer to the Vara 7, keeping us informed all the time.
    Thank you!

  5. Antonieta Janeiro to avoid any further nausea can I suggest you do not watch Tv for the next few days because the McCanns are flying to Portugal tomorrow and we are all going to have to endure another media circus, photo opportunities, etc etc. which are truly sickening

  6. 6, how do you know the McCanns are flying to Portugal tomorrow?

  7. I wonder if someone went to the police, telling what they know or suspect.
They still have one day left before it starts.
Joana, I have the feeling you know the names of the witnesses.
And I wonder why the McCanns are coming as they don't understand any Portuguese.
They could better read a translation.
Besides they are at risk of being seen and booed by an agglomeration of people in front of Vara 7.
    Democracy,McCanns,democracy!
    Are you taking this risk?

GRANDA MAE!!!

Christmas appeal from the Daily Mail for Vulnerable Children.

They care about some children who are neglected by their parents but not all. The Daily Mail does not care about Madeleine Mccann or helping find the ones responsible...they only care to remain silent and protect the Parents.

No money from me Daily Mail until you get your priorities right.

  11. Thank you for sharing this profound piece.
Joana, I do so wish that you could project this piece of writing on a big wall at the palacio da justica on Friday morning, or publish it in every newspaper in both Portugal and Britain.
Forca to Goncalo and everyone going to support free speech today.

  12. Estimada Antonieta
    Obrigada.
Yes! you are right: we also have the right to be indignant and this is what is happening and this is what we are doing: fighting for justice and the truth for a small child who did not deserve this terrible fate.
We are giving her a voice,a voice that her very own parents want to strangle.
We are fighting her progenitors who are violating Dr.amaral"s basic human rights, hers and ours: right to freedom of expression and right of access to information.
We are offering the mccanns to RE OPEN the case as this is, has been and will be the only way to establish the TRUTH for Madeleine"s sake and theirs,if they have any self respect left.
    Time will tell...pero venceremos!
    Peace

  13. Good article Antonieta Janeiro. If only the British media used as much perception. They wouldn't print the truth if it hit them in the face and will continue treating the McCanns as famous celebrities who warrant our utmost sympathy. I have a feeling that most of the public now are heartily sickened by seeing their fascile faces on our television screens and in our newspapers, having used their daughter's disappearance to make as much money as possible. And some people believe that Kate McCann is a wallflower as far as publicity is concerned. I dont think so!

  14. ARE THE MCCANN'S TRAVELLING TO PORTUGAL WITH A " SUN COFFEE- BOY" behind, to write and report every ashamed portuguese standing outside the court, watching the poor Mccann's which have to face the "Bungle" police? I HOPE AMARAL DID NOT APPEAR IN COURT TO SEE THIS " BUNCH" OF CLOWNS COMPOSED BY MCCANN'S, THEIR LAWYERS AND SOME FREELANCER JOURNALISTS HIRED BY THE PRO-NEWSPAPER TO SPIN LIES EVERYWHERE. THE EXPRESS GROUP HAVE TO SPIN A LOT , trying to recover the 500000 which they pass into Madeleine's Fund. Only with trillions of lies and very cheap journalists they can achieve that figure before Madeleine become an old missed Aunty, hunted by her nephews at the expenses of Madeleine's Fund. BELIEVE ME, WHAT WAS SETTED AT MAY 2007, IT IS A FAMILY BUSINNESS to last forever with many thanks from annother bunch of Clowns- THE ACTORS ON PORTUGUESE POLITIC AND JUSTICE!

  16. EVERYWHERE WE LIVE, LETS SUPPORT AMARAL. LETS SHOW THE WORLD HOW ASHAMED WE ARE WITH PORTUGUESE JUSTICE WHICH SUPPORT NEGLIGENT PARENTS AND DON'T RESPECT BASIC CHILDREN RIGHTS.

LETS STAND in FRONT OF PORTUGAL EMBASSYS, IN SILENCE, AGAINST CENSURE AND FRAMING OPINIONS. LETS SHOW PORTUGAL, THAT THEY ARE FARWAY FROM DEMOCRACY AND FREEDMON.

WE BELIEVE ON AN OLD FRENCH SLOGAN: liberte et egalite pour tout le monde".

The book' Maddie 129' is in English...The Mccanns ' BLASTED' the book but they did not sue...
It mght be an idea to start buying this book and raise interest in Sales...Nothing in here that bothered them before so why should it now?

  19. I doubt they'll even attend the courtroom. More likely there will be a photo opportunity outside, a prepared statement delivered to the press and they'll be on the first plane home

  20. Wonder to see if the Mccann's will come back to Portugal next May for Madeleine's Birthday. GOOD OPORTUNNITY TO MEET THE POPE WHICH IS GOING TO VISITE PORTUGAL AT THAT TIME. They can show him how religious they are and how thankful they were for being recieved by him.

WOOOSH, WOOOSH, So many worry's Mccann's.... The Pope is going to spend a lot of time side by side with Portuguese President of the Republic. WHAT IS HE GOING TO TELL ABOUT A LITLE GIRL WHICH DISAPEARED SO CLOSE OF THE CHURCH OF NOSSA SENHORA DA LUZ?

If you know something about Madeleine, something that is not leaving your conscience to rest, step forward.... It is always time to do the right thing. Remember that the truth, early or late, always will come out. Tell the Portuguese police what you now and leave your heart to rest in peace. SHE DESERVES YOUR SUPPORT, SHE IS WATCHING YOU, WAITING FOR THE DAY YOU DRINK A GLASS OF COURAGE AND BECOME AN HERO. Make the Pope Visit to Portugal a Peaceful and wonderful moment.

Can't expect them to conserve the money in the search for Madeleine, and anyway there's plenty more where that came from.
