Manifesto Anti-McCensura

  2. There will not be freedom of speech until we, and every citizen of this country, can speak out our minds (within a rational reasoning).

Right now I believe that Portugal has been submitted to a censorship harder than the one that existed before April 1974. At that time only ( or almost only) people connected with left handed political parties had problems ( I know there were innocent people dennounced due to personal or economical means - unfortunatelly I had personal experiences of that), nowadays you cannot question the Government or the people connected to them...

For me the McCann case was a diplomatic agreement from which they are taking advantage.

I don't think that they were expected to, but that they are "rats" ( not to call something worse) and saw a hole for profit, and that's what they are doing.

I reiterate along with you: WE SHALL NEVER ACCEPT CENSORSHIP EVER AGAIN.

Luz, it is my belief the McCanns have another purpose in mind, if they actually win the injunction against Gonçalo Amaral, a former Judiciary Police Inspector, they will try to sue the Portuguese state next and for much more than 1, 200 million Euros. No doubt in my mind that they are taking this actions not only for money sake but also to warn that they can financially asphyxiate any person that dares to have a different opinion than theirs regarding to their daughter's tragic faith.

  4. I agree with you, Joana. In their last interview with Sandra Felguieras, Gerry alluded to the fact the Portuguese judiciary were targets!

  8. If the Portuguese State sits back and lets them do this to Dr Amaral then they deserve to be sued.

There are plenty of people that should be speaking out publically.

Have they all lost their tongue? Or are they too afraid of the McCanns to say anything?

  9. This should all go to the Court of Human Rights, the McTwats and friends should be aware that justice will prevail, if not in this life then in the next, i have a great belief in 'what goes around comes around'. Thank you Joana and co for all your hard work.

  10. Sue the Portuguese State ? Then they must go to Strasbourg.
I really don't think money is more than an intimidation weapon. The more they ask, the more they value the offense and the more they look pure and innocent. Don't forget that they have to be a bit careful about the way the Fund money is spent. First the mortgage, then the Metodo ones and now this Kevin H....
They could never sue GA for that amount of money if the Fund (money cleaner as well) didn't exist. Everybody would be suspicious about the way this money is used.

  13. The McCanns have had a lot of help from the Portuguese government and corrupt judges and lawyers, so I doubt that they will sue the Portuguese state. They know that if it weren't for these people the case would have never been archived and this injunction would have never gone forward. What I find the most preposterous about this injunction is that the court believes they have the power to tell a man that he cannot speak on a certain matter.
Mr. Amaral is not that well off financially so the objective in suing Mr. Amaral is not his money. Preventing Mr. Amaral's thesis on the case from being made public will be beneficial since future contributors to the fund might have been dissuaded by such knowledge. I have said it many a time and I'll say it again the McCanns are narcissists to the Nth degree. Narcissists will try to destroy the person who exposes what they are to the public. The McCanns most certainly despise Mr. Amaral and they will enjoy destroying him, this is the main goal of their lawsuit. This is also the reason that the McCanns will make an appearance in Mr. Amaral's trial especially during final sentencing.

But they don't need anyone to expose them to the public. They have exposed themselves on many, many occasions, and the public even without the information in the files is well aware of what type of people they are. If they're foolish enough to want to parade their true character again in this matter of the injunction then so be it; it will only confirm the reputation they already have in the eyes of the general public. Their real problem is they don't know when to stop and in the end that will be their undoing, IMO.

As for what happens to any money they might get from Mr Amaral, trust me - where that money goes, into whose pocket it finds its way, is something that many people all over the world will be watching. They wanted a lot of publicity, they got it and now it is never going to stop, whether the publicity and attention focuses on the Fund and/or Madeleine's fate. Money has become the main focus in this case, they've made it so, so they can't complain when everyone else takes an interest in it. Nor should they be surprised at any human rights organisations that may take an interest, as demanding someone's else's money for yourself while denying them freedom of speech is a legitimate subject for such groups to debate and question.

  16. If the McCanns really believe in the Christian religion, then they should know this, that if they have been lying and getting others into trouble for something they themselves have done, they should hope they do not die in the night because they will die in their sin.

'No liar shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven', and why should they!

Not for nothing do they say 'Confession is good for the soul'.

  17. Perhaps, the McCanns have had guarantees that the trial will go a certain way so it's safe for them to appear. I will rule nothing out at this stage!

  18. Anonymous 17 - lots of IF's in your comment. Is there not something in the Christian religion about Let he who isn't without sin throw the first stone?

    ReplyDelete
  19. If the McCanns are only going to appear for the publicity stunt then it should not be allowed. There should be a complete blackout.

Either way, by the time they or their spokespeople have had their say Dr Amaral's name will have been dragged through the mud yet again.

There will be thin, frail looking Kate again in her pink cardi with the pained look on her face. Can you just imagine it. It is about time they put up some of the pics of her and Gerry swinging through the streets hand in hand grinning like cheshire cats. We have seen it all. Which are the real McCanns?

The McCanns certainly know how to play to the media.

There has to be the 'if's' because it is the McCanns who are the ones who know whether it applies to them.

There are no stones being thrown, it's just a reminder as well as a warning.

  21. If as has been suggested here that the McCanns will sue the PT state following an win against Amaral( probably already guaranteed, by virtue of their intended presence at the hearing, to gloat or count the money), the irony of that is that they were allowed to leave PT unhindered and not even a charge of child neglect laid against them then despite their own admission. I do believe if such a charge had been laid against them it would have stopped them in their tracks. So the PT authorities have only themselves to blame if this comes back to haunt them in the form of a lawsuit.

    ReplyDelete
  22. ShuBob #18 That's the way it is. When the McCanns make a trip to Portugal they are always assured by Portuguese authorities that nothing untoward will happen to them. I'm sure that they have also been assured that Mr. Amaral's trial will have their desired outcome. Just look how smoothly and quickly the injunction against him went, it was so efficient that his presence wasn't even required.

It's just like saying, "IF the cap fits, wear it", do you see? Your quotation is wrong. The line is, "Let he who IS without sin throw the first stone."

Jesus also said, "Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not, for to such belongeth the Kingdom of God."

I wouldn't mess with Him if I were you (or them).

  29. I suggest you better don't expect too much of Dec. 11, trial. The stage is set and prepared. There will be no big event, because you can bet that the McCanns and their Portuguese lawyer have requested and received certain guarantees from the government, Civil Court, PGR-Office etc. This is my guess what is going to happen: 1) The hearing will last no longer than 15 minutes after it is going to be postponed until January 2010 (less than 30 days' interruption) and will continue without the presence of the McCanns, 2) no questions from Gonçalo Amaral or his lawyer about the subject of the case will be admitted on this occasion, 3) the McCanns were given the questions already asked by the judge(s) and the expected answers, 4)the British media will be present and have been instructed to cover the event in favour of the McCanns and ignore mostly what Amaral or his lawyer may have to say (taping their statements but not airing them later on).

Additionally, one needs to understand that the injunction issued by the Lisbon court against Gonçalo Amaral is illegal from the beginning, a clear violation of Ar. 37 of the Portuguese Constitution, and therefore the final decision/ruling in favour of the McCanns and against Amaral is obvious. Why? Because admitting this grave error (even though it was no error or misjudging but done deliberatly by order of some government source to silence Amaral), lifting the injunction and the ban imposed on Amral and his book, would open wide the window for counter-lawsuits against the McCanns, but in the first place against the Portuguese government by those who have been suffered damages due to the injunction issued by a judge in the service of the Portuguese government, i.e. by Amaral, Guerra & Paz, and every publishing house in Europe which had obtained the rights for the production and sale of a translated version of the book in question.

  30. So what's the qualification for being a judge in Portugal?

Do you either have to be nuts or bent to start with?

If not, no need to apply?

It all gets crazier by the minute.

Sorry Portugal, but there should be an outcry at some of those decisions being made from the judiciary. What chance justice.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Surely Sr Amaral's lawyer will raise the issue of Article 37 and the illegality of a decision to continue to impose an injunction?

That would give the judge time to back off from doing something which may come back to bite them later on as they would clearly be ignoring the Constitution even when it is pointed out to them.

It would also be interesting to hear what the judge's reason is if they reject the argument and go against the Constitution.

This is so important the issue has to be raised by Sr Amaral's lawyer.
