Anything Similar to Reality is Pure Coincidence

At 451° Fahrenheit, paper ignites spontaneously

Dort, wo man Bücher verbrennt, verbrennt man auch am Ende Menschen.” or “Where they burn books, so too will they in the end burn human beings.” Heinrich Heine 1797-1856

«To the present day, the burning of books has a long history as a tool wielded by authorities both secular and religious, in efforts to suppress dissenting or heretical views that are perceived as posing a threat to the prevailing order.

When books are ordered collected by the authorities and disposed of in private, it may not be book burning, strictly speaking — but the destruction of cultural and intellectual heritage is the same.»

«On May 10, 1933, the Nazi party in Germany held a nation-wide bonfire during which 25,000 books went up in flames.

Anything considered "un-German in spirit" that did not line up with Germany's political and social goals was censored.

The German Student Association developed an “Action Against the Un-German Spirit” campaign that saw student members of the Nazi Party participating in town by town book burnings. Censorship eventually began to be applied to more than books and included “un-German” music, paintings, photographs, plays, films, newspapers and magazines. were banned or censored, and then religious groups, cultural institutions and political parties.»

«The Ray Bradbury novel Fahrenheit 451 is about a fictional future society that has institutionalized book burning. In Orwell's 1984, the euphemistically-called "memory hole" is used to burn any book or written text which is inconvenient to the regime, and there is mention of "the total destruction of all books published before 1960".»

Fahrenheit 451 is a 1966 film directed by François Truffaut, in his first colour film as well as his only English-language film. It is based on the novel of the same name by Ray Bradbury (1953).

One question remains, if the McCanns win the injunction how will they destroy Gonçalo Amaral's book and TVI's documentary?

  3. Brilliant, ha ha. The McCanns will introduce a Pan European McCann Tax (for our own good, to prevent distortion of the Mctruth you understand) to pay for CCTV cameras to be installed in every home and workplace to prevent the reading of THE BOOK or watching THE VIDEO. Those people caught will be brainwashed by being forced to listen to Clarence Mitchel until they agree with anything the McCanns say.

  5. So these two penny drunkards from a village in England think they can dictate to people all over the world what they can read ?

What is this the new peado world order ?

Throw them in a dungeon along with their associates until they rot.

  6. Anon 5 - "What is this the new peado world order ?"

It certainly looks that way, what with the coverups in Jersey and the total disregard for the Gaspars statements.

  7. Hitler too was believed by millions of Germans until they found out the truth. These two and their associates won't continue with the farse for much longer. Innevitably the truth will be known.
They must be aware that public opinion have already judged them and that the latest attempts to clear their names are the last grasps of breath of a dying version that nobody could possibly buy.

  11. I must be naive ... but what I don`t understand is that it seems that EVERY journalist and EVERY uk newspaper is banned from imparting the truth in this matter. There must be a super injunction or D notice in place. Surely every journalist in the uk doesn`t believe the mccann`s spin. And surely every editor in the uk doesn`t have to comply with Pinky`s demands. Why don`t they tell him to f... off?

I do wonder if many journalists/crime reporters write under aliases on their own blogs.

I know we cannot find out if there`s a super injunction. But surely journalists can still write articles in papers `tongue in cheek` being very careful they don`t open themselves up to being sued. They could easily get their message across to the british public without laying themselves open to litigation.

  14. "A book is made from a tree. It is an assemblage of flat, flexible parts (still called "leaves") imprinted with dark pigmented squiggles. One glance at it and you hear the voice of another person, perhaps someone dead for thousands of years. Across the millennia, the author is speaking, clearly and silently, inside your head, directly to you. Writing is perhaps the greatest of human inventions, binding together people, citizens of distant epochs, who never knew one another. Books break the shackles of time, proof that humans can work magic."

    Louise,

D'oh, you just noticed!! Of course there is a ban on reporting the truth!

    (No offence meant x)

  16. Anonymous @12: so far, they have done. Well, or whoever is behind them...

astro, if Madeleine did indeed die in the flat (her death being caused directly or indirectly by the McCanns) as indicated by the British dogs and her parents then disposed of her body, we are not only dealing with people without basic decent human feelings, but also people who are capable of anything.

Why the Portuguese authorities have so far bowed to their every evil and deranged whim is still a mystery to me.
Is there ---I no longer expect dignity or fairness --- but is there no sanity in the Portuguese judicial system?

  17. To the person that made post 11.....There are no 'journalists' in the UK any more...a whole new breed of dumbed down copy and paste lapdogs have taken their places. These morons are told exactly what they can and cannot publish by the puppets laughingly called 'editors'.
These puppets in turn are dictated to by corrupt politicians who themselves exist purely to jump through hoops as and when big business moguls bark commands that suit their diabolical agendas.
The UK is morally bankrupt nowadays.

  18. There's only one thing to say to the McCanns and those who believe they can stop certain facts in this case from coming out - THE GENIE IS ALREADY OUT OF THE BOTTLE AND HE ISN'T GOING BACK IN!

There now - simple, isn't it? The McCanns can do a Violet Elizabeth Bott (you need to know the William books for this one) and 'thcream and thcream till they're thick', but in the end their screams will do them no good at all. People will read what they want to, watch what they want to and make up their own minds. They won't be dictated to by the likes of the McCanns - why should they?

  19. @ post #11, I think we can safely say that there are super-injunctions in place. The threat letter recently sent to Pamalam's webhost proves that to me! Also, some time ago, a Daily Mail journalist wrote that he couldn't divulge certain information because the McCanns had made it clear they would sue.

  24. Even Charles,

Prince of Wales, was interrogated by the police, about Diana's accident and death.
Why is that English police man forbidden to go to Lisbon to witnesse
    on Amaral's process?
It is about a human being, it is about a child, it is about justice.
Or are the laws in Britain "one child's life more, one less, who cares?"
Who in the UK cares about Madeleine?
    And about the twins?
To cite Martin Brunt: -"Whoever took Madeleine could strike again".
They will certainly strike again, if they still didn't, because there is no cure for certain abnormalities.

  25. About these super injunctions ... there must surely be one in place with regard to the Gasper's witness testimony on David Payne.

A little girl goes missing and the press learn that one of the men in the party she was on holiday with, is suspected of paedophilic behaviour ... and they never even ALLUDE to it ?

  29. In Nazi Germany in the 1930's, one of the books that was banned for being 'anti-German' was 'Im Westen Nichts Neues' or in English 'All Quiet on the Western Front', which in my opinion is the best example of WW1 literature ever written. Also imprisoned for his anti- nazi writings, was Austrian author Jura Soyfer, who was sent to Buchenwald concentration camp for his 'subversive' views. Currently on my bookshelf I have the German & English copies of 'All Quiet on the Western Front' and the collected works of Jura Soyfer. They stand proudly next to Tony Bennets booklet and 'Die Wahrheit Ueber die Luege' the German version of Dr. Goncalo Amaral's book.
NOTE TO MR GERALD McCANN & MS KATE HEALY- I WILL NOT BE TOLD WHAT I CAN READ, NOT BY ADOLF HITLER OR BY YOU.

You cannot control people's opinions, not even the GESTAPO managed that, and they had a damn good try!!!!

  31. Thanks Anon 17 and Shubob for your thoughts on why the press is gagged.

If there was a super injunction in place, NOTHING could be written about the McCanns whether positive or negative. Journalists are still reporting, albeit biased in favour of the McCanns, so there can`t be a super injunction. There has to be a reason given to the judge for a super injunction and its usually that any reporting would prejudice a court case. So if there is one in place, how come they are still reporting in the McCanns favour because this undoubtedly prejudices their opponents.

  32. Anon 26 - Now I could believe there is a super injunction in place regarding David Payne, because nothing is ever written about him. He seems to have vanished of the face of the earth. Stevo heard `from a source` that he now has a new name, passport etc.

  33. I think the UK media report like they do because they have fallen for the spin the McCanns have been telling since their arguido status was lifted, that they have been cleared of all charged.

This implies in UK and US there has been some sort of trial and they have literally been found NOT GUILTY.

The truth is they have never even been charged, and they could still be.

That is the bit the McCanns don't mention.

Meanwhile the media is believing they have been cleared ABSOLUTELY, for all time.

Now they have the media thinking their abduction story must be true after all, since they were found 'not guilty of any wrongdoing', which is their favourite way of putting it.

In the case of the McCanns nothing could be further from the truth. They can still be charged and found guilty.

Where there is a chance to spin something to their advantage the McCanns never miss a trick.

It would come as a great shock to people if they have the arguido status slapped back on them. No wonder they don't want that case reopened.

So how would they spin on that? No doubt try the 'we've been framed' spin again.
