Quote of the Day - Looking back on the Madeleine Case

  1. how happy you look.....now that hindrance is out of your lives

  2. Joana, May 4th 2007?

    Immediately after the disappearence?

They called the whole world and thanked for their privacy?
    Is this date correct?

  3. Virginia, I must have got the date wrong.

Mr McCann actually read this statement out to the media, not on the 4th of May 2007 - but on the 5th.

    I've corrected the date accordingly.

  4. I remember reading somewhere that all those photos of them, in the most diversed activities, jogging, going to the beach, to the church, taking tht twinns for walks, et., taken during their stay in PDL in the weeks after Madeleine's disappearance, were stagged for the media, they were previously arranged! And they talked of privacy? Only for laughs!

  5. If you invite the media from the whole world to come watch you and to take pictures of you, you still talk about privacy? Somewhere I read they warned the media before they left to the church and left for a walk.
I still have to find out where I've read that.
I wonder if people who helped them that evening, May the 3rd, were very happy about the noise they were making.

  6. Hee, watch the colour of Gerry's trousers!

  7. You would be forgiven for thinking this statement was from Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. And looking at the picture no one would guess they had just lost their three year old daughter supposedly to paedophilles!
