Quote of the Day - Looking back on the Madeleine Case

"We were not planning to say anything at the launch but there was such a large turnout from Portuguese TV who we have not spoken to for some time that we decided to answer their questions. The beauty of the launch was the local and international dimension with media coverage spreading Madeleine's image far and wide."

Gerry McCann blog Day 50 - 22/06/2007 - Friday

  1. How thankful the McCanns were to the media, at that time. The same media they had invited into their lives and which were controled by Mitchell, sent by the British government. The world had to believe in abduction and they used all TV channels and news papers they could to convince the humanity of it.
Clarence was the conductor of the orchestra and Benjamin Britton sound wonderfully. And we will never forget they even took the media with them to Rome and to the Vatican, to pray for Madeleine and probably to discuss their own canonization. Those good old times!
Unfortunately they will never come back!

  2. Gerry did not sue the Portuguese media, or at least did not do to them what he did in England.
Afraid of what Amaral knows and that he could be a witness defending the truth, helping the Portuguese media?

  3. I have finally managed to watch the full video of the Parliament committee. Aroung 01h and 19 min. Gerry Mccann actually accused the media of sometimes putting Madeleine's safety at risk with some of their headlines and reports! The arrogance and lack of shame from that man is unbelievable! Who made a trade- mark of Madeleine's colomboma and exposed it to the world? And even went on to say that it might put her in danger of being hurt by the "abductor", BUT IT WAS A GOOD MARKETING PLOY!!!
Who blatantly disregarded Madeleine's( and the twins) safety by leaving her alone, unsupervised, every night of the holiday, in an unlocked apartment to enjoy adult time?
    Was it the media...?

  4. Está mal disposto?
    Vá aqui: http://portaria-59.blogspot.com/2009/03/o-melhor-pais-do-mundo.html
    Cumprimentos e bom fim-de-semana.

  5. Gerry understood that. But, he says, the iris “is Madeleine’s only true distinctive feature. Certainly we thought it was possible that this could potentially hurt her or”—he grimaces—“her abductor might do something to her eye.… But in terms of marketing, it was a good ploy.”

    Well worth (re-)reading.

  6. Same reasoning. Marketing ploy before M security. Drinking with friends before M security. At least the guy is consistent with child security.

  7. There are two categories of people who are involved with the Mccanns

the ones whom they use for their own profits and
the ones who lose their jobs.

  8. A truly despicable couple. They should be ashamed of themselves.

  9. I remember Bush:

"Either you are with us or you are with the terrorists."

"Either you are with us or you are with the PJ terrorists."

But in Bush's case, there were real terrorists.

In the police's case, the truth is seeing as being terror.
And be honest, it is terror for the parents, isn't it?

  10. My daughter intends to spend holidays in the UK and that worries me.
If, going down a street, she crosses with Gerry, she might lose her job.

  11. i'd love to meet the slimey shits in the street, does that bitch ever go outside her front door, like to go to the shops , the sort of thing everyday folk do all the time, IT just seems to spend all IT'S time caged up in that house of her's, not much of a life is it, maybe IT'S getting in some practice.
